Since I have to lift my
oil filter up and out (I have a 2qt filter mounted in front of the cross member, underneath the 3pt accusump - there's no clearance between the fan shroud and the steering rack to drop the filter ), I drill a hole the in filter and let it drain for a while, before removing it. When it's done draining, I slap a piece of duct tape to cover the little hole to prevent the last drips from making a mess, and then lift it up'n out.
BTW, I've got a long list of honey-do's - I'm starting early, so I'll miss breakfast. Next time...ok?
