You have a couple of options. First try going to My Computer, Right Click and chose Properties. Then click on the Hardware Tab. Once that page is on top, click on Device Manager. That will show all the drives and stuff in your computer. First look for the small yellow triangle next to your CD drive. If there is none click the + sign and open the drive and it should list what kind you have and if you have both a CD and DVD drive they will be listed on two lines that tell you the make and such. Right click on the failing one and delete the drivers. Then shut the computer off and let it reinstall them as it boots up. If that still doesn't work, you will need a new CD drive. They aren't expensive and really aren't hard to install depending on how jammed together your drives are in the case.
