The only problem I have with the Edelbrock is that the element can deteriorate with a slight backfife and get sucked in to the motor. The K&N open top is constructed to not allow that to happen. It's a bit more money but will save your motor and fits in the turkey pan and under the hood. The Edelbrock design has been around for about 30 years and is just that when it comes to technology
