I'll add my .02.
If your intentions is to just store 1 or 2 cars and have a high ceiling, a 4 post is fine. As for working on a car, a 4 post will need a bridge across the ramps to hold 2 or more jacks to lift the car in the air.

I don't believe there is another low ceiling home garage lift like the MaxJax on the market. I've thought of some other uses with the arms. It could convert into a large or small work bench by laying plywood in the arms, if you are restoring a body or truck cab, make a simple welding table, working on garden tractors, ect.... many use's other than working on cars.
