I've built thousands of them.
We're still using Childs & Albert Assembly
Oil. It is an extra refined 10 weight oil.
If you're starting it up quickly you can use WD-40 or transmission fluid. The lighter weight oil enhances ring break-in.......which is (basically) grind to fit.
