I do believe that the 1992 Mod had the same bolt pattern as the 5.0 (95% sure). Then they went to the other pattern. Knowing Ford there well could have been some carry over into some later cars. Also there are two Mod engine plants and they are not identical.

Anyway the first year Mod with the same bolt pattern as a 5.0 also had a different starter. One bolt more or less - not sure.

There should be lots of 1992 crown vics in the junk yards, if you wanted a block that would bolt up. I hope that helps.
