set the idle a little bit higher and turn the mixture screw out a little bit more than needed and most of the popping on deceleration will go away. It will also pop if your idle mixture is too lean.Go one size up on the idle jet.
Also check that your exhaust manifold has no leaks.
Some popping will be always be there, so get used to it.
