you guys are awesome...Im 99% sure I can be there on the 5th...
Rick, heres the response I prepared for you:
OK…here we go with as much knowledge as I could give you:
I definitely want one all put together. Im not much of a wrencher…my father is in finance and didn’t teach me s*** in the mechanical arena. I want to be able to turn the key and do a big, smoky burnout on my first ride home.
Seeing how Im not much of a wrencher, I think a small block would be more reliable and better served as a daily driver. As much as the idea of more HP and the authenticity of the 427 appeal to me, I don’t think its right for my needs. I cant believe Im being so rational on this issue…
Tires…Im undecided. I love the look of polished, 19’s with lower profile tires, but the original wheels with fat tires (with the large lettering ) look sick as well.
Ive always had my heart set on the side pipes…I just love the way they look. HOWEVER, seeing as though I’m going to drive this regularly, I will choose the exhaust that will not kill my neighbors and set off car alarms like a Harley. I want it to growl and sound like a motorboat, but don’t need to break windows every time I start her up.
As far as the body types go, Im not that knowledgeable yet. The only attainable Cobra Ive looked at has been the Superformance, which looks PERFECT to me. I’ll need more info. On the differences between the AC and the fia body styles. FYIO, he Cobra I originally fell in love with when I was 7, was the one from the Gumball Rally. The second I saw that I was bit by the Snake.
This car is mine forever…Ive wanted it forever so Ill keep it forever. Im not having any kids so this and my pets are going to be my “children.”
