Hi Peter,

If you're a reasonable welder you can put something together out of off the shelf mandrel exhaust bends. Just cut them and fit them together to get from point A to B. Every time you add a clamp or a hose connection it's just another potential leak. Try to keep the connections to a minimum especially if the pipe goes through the boot space. I hate that fuel smell when you open the trunk and I see it regularly with custom cars.

Also if the fuel filler hose goes through the wheel well, a continuous metal pipe will be a bit more robust to rocks and dirt.
