Hi Paul, As you may not know I am finally in the process now with my 418 as the short block arrived yesterday evening. I installed the cam and fitted cap girdle today. Tomorrow I will clearance and install the
oil pump and the sump. Then on to the double roller timing set, cover and water pump etc. I am very pleased with the short block from MK&R but FordStroker.com and CHP have very good short blocks as well and also stroker kits, etc.
I've had some very good input from:
http://www.fordmuscle.com/forums/
They have a stroker forum there and there is a lot of input from builders both professional and good experienced private ones.
Also as mentioned by someone else here, the small block tech forum is goos as well. But I must agree as other have said that the small block forum here is THE best source you could ever find.
You are of course always welcome to come over and see what I'm up to at any point as well. We can always learn a lot by working on or just looking at mine at any point in the build that interest you in particular.
Talk to me this Sunday about any of this when we have our soon to be famous North Bay Cobras brunch over in Sonoma.
See you then I hope.
