I changed my oil pan because of a PA inspection criteria called "scrub line". This is measured by taking string from the lowest point of the rim on one wheel and then extending to the opposite wheel where the tire touches the ground. Perform this for the opposite side as well. Where the lines intersect is the lowest point that PA states nothing shall lie below. This is in case you get a flat tire so you are not scraping the road. My oil pan fell below this, thus the reason to get a shorter one. Brian
