I am attempting to use the slave cylinder that is already in the car. It is mounted to back of bellhousing and pushes the clutch arm forward (to the front of the car) because the builder of this car (in 96) used a clutch arm that pivots on the passenger side. I have been told this clutch arm was designed to be used with a cable actuation.
At any rate, the slave is Wagner Lockheed which I beleive is 1" in diameter. I did install the 1" Tilton master and the slave now travels further. I believe enough to complete disengage the clutch
If so, I will backoff on the shaft exiting the slave a little to provide less pressure on the TOB when the clutch is at rest / engaged.
I believe that the PO had the clutch master cylinder swapped to a smaller one to make the clutch easier to push. The effort to operate the clutch has increased but I need the travel at the clutch arm. Maybe now I can truely enjoy my new TKO600. Before getting on the road I need to check for brake fluid leaks
