Default Diff Leak-qukr to pull or fix in the car

Guys,
One of the differential output shafts is leaking on my ERA (a lot). Is it quicker to pull the diff assembly and fix it on the bench, or take off enough pieces to fix it in the car? It looks like it would be pretty tough to get the caliper off in the car.

Also, it looks like some Jag rears use a seal and Orings and some just use just the seal. Is that correct?

Any other tricks to make this easier would be appreciated. I did download the documentation from ERA and it looks pretty easy.

I want to have the correct parts on hand when I start.

Thanks.
John
