I think the the input shafts on those two trannys are different lengths. If you can also get the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch (and starter too), go for the whole package and you'll be sure that everything will bolt up right.
I'm at work now and don't have the exact measurements at my finger tips, but seems I remember this to be the case.
