EDIT: In the engine compartment, there are some strong similarities in the firewall area as well as the rear corners of the hood opening. I am starting to think that the car is indeed a CMC product that the owner was attempting to make more "authentic" by adding an independent rear suspension, aluminum panelling and modifications to the cockpit.

The rear hood opening has an aluminum plate attached where as the CMC in the ad has it as part of the body, the door hinge looks wider than the one on the CMC . Finally, and this has nothing to do with the car in question...but that engine in the ad IS NOT a 351C as is listed, it's a Windsor of some sort.
