1) Ignore everything this guy says.
2) Ignore all markings on the outside of the block.
3) Look for the cross-bolted mains and side-oiler galley on the one in a million chance it's a side-oiler or even a 427.
4) Pop out a freeze plug and perform the drill bit test. Here are instructions for that:
