Is the alum. flywheel supplied the type with the replaceable disk or just the plain flywheel ?
Who has the best price ?
How is the pedal feel ?
How is it on the street ?
Kevin,

I am using a McLeod dual disc clutch with an aluminum flywheel. I think this unit is rated at over 800 ft-lbs. The fly wheel is replaceable but I think you'd need to get the replacement from the original manufacturer. I would expect the pedal feel to be slightly stiffer than a street diaphram clutch. I don't find the pedal pressure objectionable with this clutch on either my cobra or my corvette but others have told me that they notice the stiffer pedal. The clutch is fine on the street. You may experience a slightly less smooth start with the aluminum flywheel but I expect that any clutch based upon an aluminum flywheel would behave the same way. You do have alot more clutch disc to metal surface area so a driving technique based upon a relatively quick release of the clutch when starting out (as opposed to riding/slipping) will result in the smoothest starts. Thes clutches are not cheep. I expect that you'd get a good price from summit racing.
