My water pump has 5/8" hoses, as did my original thermostat housing. I put a Kirkham SB surge tank/housing on the car a couple of months ago, and it has a 3/4" port for the bypass. I purchased and installed an Autozone #3009 (90 degree 5/8 to 3/4) hose. Sorry, I don't remember how much it cost.
