The body was made by Cobra Auto Works, a defunct manufacturer based in Oklahoma City. They haven't been around for a long time.....I've done a lot of research online and spoken to a few trim shops here in Houston, TX, and nobody wants to mess with it unless I bring them a frame and top and all they want to do is install it.

Most of the internet companies make it clear that their tops fit only original Shelby Cobras and that if you buy it and it doesn't fit your replica, you still own it.

I've also had the chance to talk to a replica owner who has a top and he described the frame assembly, I know I can do what he has out of wood. The ferrules and snaps seem quite readily available on the internet, not so sure about the calmps for where the top mounts to the windshield.

Anyone else have any advice? Once I get the car I can do some measurements, body width at the door openings, etc.....then I'll know what I have to work with.

Onward through the fog.......

Dugly
