Probably the intake manifolds were interchangable but is it possible old Hank was thinking of gas economy and wanted a two barrel and ordered it that way? Gas back the was like 32 cents a gallon so I didn't think any Americans were thinking of gas mileage (I had a car with a 34 gallon gas tank and I think it didn't even cost $20 to fill it!)
PS that Falcon engine was great.It was higher winding than a 289, and made that Falcon sing...
