Default Help! My cobra shuts itself off?

Looking for help and advice in tracking down this intermittent problem:

Driving along at highway speeds, anywhere from 30 to 45 mph. Not during acceleration but cruising. Engine shuts off.

Here are some clues:
- Rebuilt 1968 302 engine is always warm and up to temperature
- there is no sputtering or hesitation
- does not happen at idle
- does not happen when I accelerate
- does not happen every time
- running electronic distributor with ford parts

I am apt to believe I have an electrical problem, since the engine never stutters, hesitates or misfires. But if I am wrong someone tell me.

If anyone has input where I might start to track down this annoying problem I would appreciate all advice.
