The fall of 1967 was a time of incredible hatred and revolt by workers at Ford that had been building for several years, resulting in the strike which disrupted the production of all engines for a few months, and is the likely reason the 427 side oiler was never used in production Mustangs or Shelbys that model year.

I think if you would research the history of 427 production (as I have) you would see that there is no anti - union bias in what I have said, only a careful statement of fact.
