The first change will normally contain magnetic particles and filings from all the reciprocating & rotating parts that rub together such as Rods, Crankshaft, timing gears and chains, cams, and lifters, rings and cylinders. Subsequent changes should be pretty much free of this. This sounds pretty normal.
