I modded my own housing as all I got from KM was a picture of the back flange with a hole and an arrow pointing to it. As I understand it there was supposed to be more detailed instructions included, but I found this out after calling to verify that my measurements showed that the fork opening needed to be enlarged.

I used a laser line to get the centerline from the mounted cylinder to the centerline of the trans opening and measuring the fork from the pivot to the throwout bearing nubs gave me the distance from trans opening centerline for the location of the hole on the flange.

I used a cutoff wheel in my die grinder to trim about 1/2" off the top of the opening for fork clearance. The fork has to be slightly higher to clear the frame rails. (probably not an issue with the 3" frame) After re-painting the trim-out you can't even tell it's there.

David did tell me in another thread that the bottom lip should be trimmed off on the QT, just like the lakewood. (unless you don't mind it scraping)
