You aren't getting any younger. Sounds like you need to do like Alan and
get a truck, some friends, and go get it. If he hasn't done it in seven years,
what makes you think he will do it in seven more? How old will you be then?
Getting closer to Rascal driving time I'd be thinking. Don't wait any longer.
Once you fire the Cobra up and go for a ride you will be kicking yourself for
not having taken charge earlier. Good luck!
