I read on here some time back about a guy who was passing a car while in his Cobra, and his hat started to fly off. He made a grab for it, veered off the road, over-corrected... I think he was okay, but the Cobra was a mess.

Don't do that.

Part of the wind buffeting you is curling backwards over your windshield and hitting you from behind. A backwards cap will get blown up and off from this reverse flow.
