We're at the Belmont Concours in Fresno, watching two elderly judges from the SCCA judging Dick Smith's "198" in the Unrestored Race Car catagory.
Female judge asks: "I thought the originals all had Carroll Shelby's signature on the dash."
She then commented on the rough state of the original magnesium wheel with the original spare tire compared to the Trigos with the street radials, the slightly faded carpet, the faint rust on chipped sections of the underside of the frame, the fact the in-dash tach was unhooked while the big tach with shift light worked...
Like the title says...I kid you not.
