My wiper assembly came slightly apart and slipped gears. This caused the wipers to go down onto the bodywork instead of up onto the windshield. Consequently my beautiful paint job was scratched. I have since disconnected the wiper motor wires so it will never happen again. Replacing the motor assembly is not worth the extreme hassle involved!
