The Aluminum chassis certainly looks nice. It'll be a trick looking thing all finished. I wonder if it saves much weight over a traditional steel tube chassis though?

From the small number of pics we've seen it looks like it'll use some kind of sub frames bolted into the front and back.

The aluminum sheet it's made from looks to be fairly thick. The panels out the front look to be about 6mm. I imagine there would have to be corespondingly heavy sections in the foot boxes and tunnel to support it and similar in the rear for the sub frame/suspension.

6mm aluminium plate is roughly 16KG per square meter. That's about 1/3 the weight of equivalent steel but with this construction technique you need a lot of material.

How ever it works out I'm keen to check out one of these cars in the flesh.
