Hi Ed, it should be a rear caliper indicated by the bracket for the handbrake cable, or isn't it?
Also, there is a gear inside the caliper which could be a ratchet mechanism to adjust.

I refered him to clubcobra, because in Germany nobody could help.
Unfortunately there is no decent part house either were you could take the sample to.
