WOW, that's just about the same thing that the guy who fixed it for me stated - he was being fair relating to the labor part - it's just time consuming.
I wonder if GM ever considers the time it takes to fix this sort of thing as they plan the set-up of this sort of thing. As you noted, there are alternatives.
