I have a 429/460 with a stealth intake/ 780 holley
and it appears to be too tall for my hood scoop. Is it normal to cut the hood and either rivit a new scoop on or re-glass the exsisting hood. should the top of the carburetor be on line with or below (or above it) the top of the body? My carb is 2 to 2 1/2 inches above the plane of the body (front and back of hood) I hope this is normal. any suggestions or help. Thanks Jay
