Right now aluminum cans here are $1.57 per pound and $1.87 in Redding. I always crush mine by stomping on them so I have around 16/20 pounds in each bag. I drink diet Pepsi and about twice a year I will have enough cans to take them the 4 blocks and sell them. It just isn't worth the 25 mile drive and standing in line in Redding for the extra .20¢ per pound.
