Fred, yeah I took it out of the freezer when it was apparent I was not going to have someone doit for me ( the wife and I had college payments ).
So Erich caged it and we let it stink up the area for three weeks until I could pull the bone from the hide.
Then we washed it and dried it. Scrapped it and then put it through a soap bath. Finally we did the peroxide thingy until it was white.
I had the wood done up based on the other designs I had for the elk & white tails.
That's about it.
Joe, I'll try to get a shot of the wall. We have mounts in rooms, but this is the main room.
It looks like we are not hunting Rosevelt Elk as we planned, so I am looking for a hunt.
Glad you guys liked the mount. I wasn't sue about it until I had the wood and bone all white and ready.
