With my type the oil pressure equalizes throughout oil system when engine if off as the pressure is not trapped in accum. because no solenoid to close accum. outlet to engine etc.

I use a Moroso 3.5 qt unit with a manual ball shut off valve; give the handle a quarter turn to maintain pressure before shutting off the engine.
Turn handle quarter turn release pressure for pre-lube before starting the engine, and start engine.
Not as convenient as solenod.
