I use a 2qt Accusump with the elctric valve. After I spun a rod bearing at the track, I decided is was a good investment.

IMO, pre-lubing is not all that important for a car that gets driven regularly. And I mean like 2-3 times a month. The goal of pre-lubing is to help the engine last longer. A well build engine should easily last 100K miles under moderate to hard use. I only know of one Cobra that's been driven more than that. There may be others, but I onlly know of one.

For racing, I think it's a must. For a street car, it more of a "It helps me sleep" kinda thing.

But, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
