Bear with me on this one-first attempt at posting pics with the Mac.
The first picture is an unmodified handle, the second one is the handle ready to install. I modified the bracket, making a much narrower plate. To install it in the car I cut out a little shorter hole than the bracket, slid the bracket inside the glass, then drilled and pop riveted from the outside- resulting in an almost seamless install.( only the rivet heads show-to be covered by the carpeting.
I attached both ends of the cable by looping the cable through the handle hole one one end and the other end was looped through the bear claw release. Both loops were rigidly attached by crimping normal hardware pinch-lugs ( for the lack of the proper description ?) They are mounted where the book normally mounts the bicycle handles, just a little bit forward.
