For now, put a piece of wood over the spinner ear and whack the piece of wood with a real hammer. That should be good enough, provided you safety wire them. You absolutely gotta get a lead hammer.
Did I hear you say "Yes, I put anti-seize on the threads and back face of the spinner?" ... and maybe a dab on the pins themselves.
