The car you mentioned was the first DVII, on paper it was made to go with the capability of going well past 200 mph.... ? Car was shaken out at TRC's test track. Just as we were changing gears out, putting the best crew we could get together, (I think I still have a letter to Jamo inviting him to meet us at Bonneville to offer his vast and viable input.) , the owners wife had her own plans.
Right out of a clear blue sky, while playing catch with his son in his own driveway-waiting for supper to be served, by his wife. An unmarked cop car pulled into the drive (process server!), served the owner with divorce papers.... As they say the rest is history. He was able to keep the car but that was about it. End of a beautiful story.......At least I got to build it and watch one event at Putnam.
