Wow. It's been a while, but I always did wonder what became of that project. Some things just aren't meant to be, I suppose.
It's a year old thread but not a bad one to bring up again. Not necessarily the rehashing of Dick's run, mind you, but that will always be pertinent to the discussion of just how fast a relatively stock bodied Cobra can be made to run.
What I cannot believe is that Keith Craft has offered to build the motor if others put up a car and a driver and this has still not happened. If we had a straightaway long enough down here, I'd tell Keith let's do it! C'mon guys - you folks have salt flats and unused runways and TRC Ovals!! If I can get my Cobra over 135 (limited by road and a small remenant of sanity) on this tiny island, surely a few of you can go after 200. Where's that pioneering spirit of adventure? People should talking about the first run by now and planning the second or third annual Cobra assault on the 200mph barrier!
