After months of uncertainty, the road is now clear for a second car show at Meadowdale Raceway. Registration opens at 8AM; the show runs 10AM to 3PM. Show cars will enter the property via the Silo entrance on Route 31.
Spectators will park in the old main gate area south of the silo on Route 31. There will be a $10 entry fee for show cars. Spectator admission is free.
The theme for the show will be to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Meister Brauser race team. This team dominated Meadowdale and other road races during the '50s. Sponsored by the Peter Hand Brewing Co. of Chicago, they raced the latest Scarabs and Chapperals. Cars and several members of the team are exprected at the show..
Sports cars, hot rods, customs and bikes of the Meadowdale era (1968 and earlier) are invited. Showcars (only) should enter the track via the entrance near the silo on Route 31, not the Huntley Rd entrance used last year. They will proceed across the new steel bridge over the little washout, and up the "Uphill", to showcar parking on the main straight. Showcars must arrive between 8 and 10 AM. The show will close at 3 PM.
Spectators may park in any of the public parking lots at either entrance. There will also be special parking available at the old track entrance about 1/4 mile south of the silo and 3/4 mile north of the Huntley Rd stoplight.
