I didn't think that was enough thread into the aluminum flywheel, thus the reason I went with 1-1/4" long grade 8 bolts. With an AN washer, the bolts extended about 1/16" through the back of the flywheel.

I didn't see this until after I called ARP but they told me the same thing. By the time you consider washer and pressure plate thickness, you have
maybe 5/16" of both threaded into the flywheel. Doesn't seem like enough. I think I'd rather have my current setup over that.
