My right chrome side pipe support has broken away from the side pipe. The metal strap reinforcing piece broke out at the thin metal of the pipe.
Question: Can I weld repair the pipe and support? Since it is on the bottom side, I don't care what it looks like.
What do I need to do to prepare the area for repair?
