In Oct 2000, I rolled coming out of turn 5 at Thunderhill in a 1999 SPF. I rolled 1-1/2 times, ending up sliding down the hill upside down on the weeds/gravel on driver's left.

I scraped my helmut and broke my thumb - that's it. Oh yeah, I also broke the car.





Note the condition of the roll bar! It did it's job! So, did the fuel cell with it's built in "check ball" that kept the fuel in the cell.

BTW, I really don't want to re-hash the story of what happened here. Unfortunately, the forum from that time seems to be gone, because there was quite a lengthy thread on my accident.
