Once I started tracking my cobra I become most concerned about safety equipment on it. I did some FEA on my roll bar and found that it was very stout but the mounting details were just short of cosmetic. Theoretically the mounts would not even support the weight of the car. I fixed that problem with some welded brackets that make the connection strong and stiff.

A fellow LSC owner has fabricated and installed side bars just inside of the doors. Based on the photos posted on the LSC website it looks like a very nice safety upgrade with few disadvatages ( as long as their is no top of the car).
