I had just swapped my cast-aluminum
oil pan for an Aviad pan. The new pan had a large nipple on it that a vacuum hose could be fastened to to help reduce crankcase pressure if need be. I just stuck a small plastic plug in it as a temporary measure.
I just had crossed a small bridge in the nearest town and gave it a little shot going up the hill. Plug popped out and hot
oil went all over the headers. So much smoke I could barely see.
A lot of people around that day. I'm sure I got lots of recognition.
ps: I walked to teh hardware store, bought a rubber chair end (like a walking cane end) and a hose-clamp. Fine after that.
