On cars that don't have the stripes tapered (i.e. straight), it appears that they are actually wider at the ends of the car, because the car narrows. ...or something. One of them there optical illusions... I understand the Greeks* (not the Turks) apparently figured this out awhile back... that some times, to look straight, things have to be crooked... or is that the other way around?
