UPDATE: OK so I have over 300 miles on the new setup - and the only refit-bite-issue was the speedo cable /gear housing. The o-ring seal on that thing just doesnt seem to hold up IE: Not leak) without some added "Right-Stuff" sealant.
Other than that, I think I need to work on the shifter handle angle a bit.
