Friend of mine runs a Triumph TR-6 with 351W power. Solid lifter cam, Edelbrock Heads, carbureted, beefed C-4 auto, 4.56 gears. Runs consistent 10's.

I'd use a lightened Classic Roadsters for this. 94" wheelbase, and a frame that would embarass a pickup or 4 x 4 for strength.

You could use a big block, but you don't have to. A 5.0 with a Vortec will do it. The trick is hooking it up. Get some help here on a rear suspension setup that will hook up, and not break.
