This is a generally warm, dry temperate climate - winters have been getting longer and wetter in recent years, though. Corrosion is not a common problem on equipment that is stored out of the weather.
707's problem is that it lived next to a salt-water inlet in the Northeast for the last three years, and there is accumulated corrosion to deal with and stop. I've found a wipe with a WD-40 rag after buffing off corrosion scale is enough to protect most galvanized and even bare steel parts for quite some time.
